Demand Planning

The most basic principle of business is that a company must make what the customer wants to buy. Understanding and predicting what the customer wants to buy is arguably the most important activity in
your business planning processes. If the sales forecast is not aligned with the true customer demand then there will be problems leading to waste, increased production costs and dissatisfied customers.

Demand planning encompasses all the processes for short- and long-term forecasting that you might need to create your organisations’ best view of future demand. Typically it combines statistical models, market intelligence, customer forecasts and customer orders and involves people from inside and outside the company to create a unified demand picture.

I am very experienced at creating high performance forecasting and demand planning processes across a range of industries, from industrial products to milk and bread. I can help you to create a demand planning process that fits your demand drivers and your future needs.
